Großstübing

Großstübing is a small, simple flying site in Austria's Styria region, with just under 400 m of vertical relief and a grass launch facing southeast or south. Ask the landowner for permission before you fly — this isn't an open-access site. The modest vertical relief here makes catching thermals harder than you might expect from a straightforward-looking hill, so patience helps more than usual. Vehicle access up to the launch is possible. Landing is on a large meadow at the west end of Großstübing, but a high-voltage power line crosses that landing field — watch for it on approach.
