Where it is
Reiteralm is described as a straightforward walk-and-fly site, launching from 1,965 m on west and northwest winds. Getting to the grass-meadow launch at Gasselhöhe takes a bit of effort either way: in winter, plan on a good half-hour on foot from the cable car's mountain station, and in summer, when you're starting from Reiteralm itself rather than riding up, budget roughly an hour of walking. The landing is generous — a large meadow at Ennsweg, about 700 m east of the valley station, giving you plenty of room to work with on the way in. Because the approach walk changes meaningfully between summer and winter, it's worth planning your timing around which route you'll actually be taking rather than assuming a fixed walk-in time year-round.

Check conditions before you fly
A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Reiteralm, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Reiteralm with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.
