Dietersdorf

Dietersdorf is a winch-tow flying site in Bavaria, Germany, at around 530 m, working wind from the east or west. It's a flatland setup — pilots are towed aloft rather than launching off a hill — which makes it well suited to structured training and repeat local flights rather than mountain flying. Because it can take wind from either side, the tow line has more flexibility than a single-direction site when picking a flyable day. The area carries two standing rules worth knowing before you fly: an eagle-owl nesting zone a few kilometers away is off-limits to overflight, protecting an actively used raptor site, and flying can't start until two hours after sunrise, giving local wildlife the early morning undisturbed.
