Where it is

Fürmannalm, also known as Irlberg Anger, is a northeast-facing launch at around 860 m that's genuinely shared airspace with model aircraft flying — coordinating with the model pilots before you fly is simple but essential here. The takeoff area itself is split: model flying operates to the left as you face your launch direction, paragliders and hang gliders launch from the right. When model flying is active, soaring the slope together isn't allowed — free flyers head straight down to the landing field instead, and toplanding is off the table while models are up. Low passes over houses and people are forbidden outright, and the site sits close enough to a highway that keeping distance matters. At the landing field itself, avoid coming down in tall grass and steer clear of the riding facility nearby. Parking right at the landing area should be avoided entirely — use the hiking car park in Anger by the Stoißerache instead.
