Oberkochen – Brunnenhalde

Oberkochen – Brunnenhalde is a demanding German site at about 688 m, best flown on an easterly wind, and it is explicitly not suitable for beginners — every pilot needs a briefing from the site holder on the terrain's specifics and hazards before flying. Unfortunately, guest flying isn't possible here at all. Access to launch is on foot; vehicles must be left at the hiking car park. Launches are only permitted with sufficient headwind, and the site caps flying to a maximum of 10 pilots launching per flying day. Training flights are not allowed. If a pilot isn't gaining height, they need to head for the landing field early, with enough altitude in hand rather than leaving it late. Tandem launches are restricted to particularly experienced pilots only. Landing requires at least 50 m of clearance from the road, power lines and buildings.
