Schöneberg

Schöneberg is a German winch and flatland paragliding site at about 280 m, with an east-west wind window built around tow flights. A few site-specific rules matter here. Pilots must keep the prescribed lateral distance from the district road at the eastern landing site — a fixed clearance, not a suggestion. When the wind runs crosswise to the tow line, watch for turbulence coming off the surrounding trees and forest edges rather than assuming smooth air just because the tow itself feels fine. And landing is genuinely constrained for hang gliders: the slope of the terrain limits where and how they can put down, so a pilot's actual experience level should factor into that decision rather than assuming any landing spot works.
