Vockrather Acker Südwest is a winch-launch flatland strip near Neuss/Holzheim in Germany at 65 m, running 1,200 meters long and flyable in southwest wind. The Düsseldorf control zone sits right next to the site, so every pilot needs a briefing from the site holder on the permit conditions and airspace limits before flying — both the site holder and pilots are responsible for staying strictly inside those boundaries. Pilots also need to keep at least 50 meters, horizontally and vertically, clear of the road running past the strip. Parking is limited during flight operations: only vehicles directly involved in running the tow may stay on site, kept to as few as possible, with everyone else using the public parking nearby.
