Monte Postoucicco

Monte Postoucicco launches at 769 m above the hamlet of Pradielis in the Friuli hills, a small, little-known flying spot at the foot of the mountain that sees far less traffic than the region's better-known sites. The launch is a meadow on the first grassy flank of the hill, described as relatively steep rather than a gentle ramp, so pilots should be ready for a brisker inflation than usual. Getting there means leaving the car in Pradielis and following a forest hiking trail on foot up to the launch — there's no drive-up option here. The site works with wind from the south, a single, fairly narrow direction to plan around. The designated landing sits at the north-eastern edge of Pradielis village itself, keeping the whole outing compact once you're back on the ground. Being a quiet, low-traffic launch reached only on foot, Monte Postoucicco suits pilots who enjoy a short hike and don't mind having a hillside largely to themselves.
