Where it is
Bojna Niva launches from a smooth grass shelf on a Montenegrin ridge at 1,128 m, sized for two or three paragliders at a time, with a takeoff that runs a bit shallow — fine into a frontal wind clearing the bushes below, but trickier with no wind or a tailwind, especially on mountain wings. There's currently no windsock at launch, so reading the wind takes more care than usual. Two approaches lead in: a 30–50 minute hike from town gaining about 350 vertical meters on a path southwest of takeoff, or a drive up to the WW1 monument followed by a 15-minute walk west past the summit and down about 50 vertical meters on the southwest side, along a clearly visible access road. The main landing is a large field just behind the town, though parts of it can be boggy with standing water hidden under the grass, so it's worth checking ground conditions and choosing the dry patches before committing. A top-landing alternative exists on several large fields around the WW1 monument, easy to spot if arriving by car.
Launch & conditions
The grass launch fits two to three paragliders and runs a bit shallow; frontal wind clears the bushes below cleanly, but no-wind or tailwind conditions get trickier, especially on mountain wings — and there's no windsock at launch yet, so read conditions carefully.
Getting there & local rules
Either hike 30–50 minutes from town (about 350 vertical meters, on a path southwest of takeoff), or drive up to the WW1 monument and walk 15 minutes west past the summit, descending about 50 vertical meters on the southwest side along a clearly visible access road.
Check conditions before you fly
A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Bojna Niva, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Bojna Niva with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.
