Hochwurzen Startplatz 2

Hochwurzen Startplatz 2 is a simple, year-round flying area in Austria used by the Aufwind flying school and the DFC Stoderzinken club, sitting at around 1,812 m. It flies in west wind, and the west launch is just a few meters south of the mountain cable-car station. Access is not open to anyone passing through: only club pilots and pilots flying with the Aufwind flying school are permitted here, so a visiting pilot would need to arrange that connection before showing up expecting to fly. Landing is at a large meadow on the Ennsweg, about 700 meters east of the valley station — plenty of room and a straightforward approach.
