Predigberg Startplatz 1

Predigberg Startplatz 1 is a mountain launch above Galtür in the Paznaun valley of Tyrol, Austria, at about 2,212 m, with favorable wind from the southwest, west or northwest. It's a straightforward launch by mountain standards, reached via forest roads that lead up to the takeoff area. Vehicle access on those roads is restricted to authorized parties only — driving up privately without that authorization isn't permitted, which is a firm access rule rather than a suggestion. A local flying school runs a shuttle service to the launch, so pilots without their own authorized access typically arrange the ride that way. Landing is in a meadow just before the village of Tschafein, on the way back down the valley.
