Where it is
Am Kirschberg, near Döbeln in Saxony, Germany, is a training hill (Übungshang) for southerly winds at around 240 m, run under a local club's flight rules. It's built for pilots working on launches, control and short flights early in training, using wind from the southeast or south. West and southwest wind are a hard no here: the slope sits in the lee of a forest edge in that flow, which turns the air rotor-prone and genuinely dangerous, so launching in those directions is banned outright rather than merely discouraged. Guest pilots are welcome but need to arrange a visit in advance rather than just showing up, and everyone flying is expected to check the info board at launch and follow the club's operating rules for the day. It's a straightforward south-facing practice slope, with the one hard boundary — never launch on a west or southwest wind — doing a lot of the safety work.
Local rules & hazards
Launching is banned outright on wind from southwest through west — the slope sits in the lee of a forest edge in that flow and the air turns rotor-prone. Guest flights need advance arrangement, and the on-site info board and club flight-operations rules apply.
