Froschsee

Froschsee is a training site run by a local flying school in Bavaria, Germany, at about 890 m, launching toward the south and reached on foot rather than by lift. Because it's an active school site, flying here happens only in coordination with the flying school running it — this isn't an open drop-in hill for independent pilots. A federal road runs through the landing area, and pilots need to keep a minimum distance of 50 m from it, both vertically and horizontally, at all times. That rule matters even more during training operations: instructors are responsible for making sure students keep well clear of the road, and the landing point for each student flight has to be chosen with that clearance in mind from the outset.
