Großheubach/Busigberg is a south-facing club site in the Spessart hills, where guest pilots need to register in advance and can only launch when a club member is present at the slope. Reaching launch means driving to a barrier, then walking the last roughly 800 m on foot — only hang gliders get driven in for unloading with a registered vehicle, paragliders always walk. The wind direction matters here more than at most sites: south/west wind brings genuinely dangerous turbulence right at launch, so read conditions carefully before committing. Tandem launches are held to a stricter standard still, going ahead only when the headwind component clearly supports a safe launch — this isn't a site for marginal calls.
