Heuberg

Heuberg is a walk-and-fly launch in the Inn valley, on a very steep meadow beside the mid-mountain summit cross. Timing matters here: the recommended launch window is tightly between 11:30 and 12:30, because outside that window the wind tends to swing to a tailwind. Getting up takes real effort — about 2.5 hours on foot from Nussdorf, or roughly 1.5 hours from the forest car park, though that route needs two vehicles to make the shuttle work. Foehn conditions are a hard no here, since foehn punches through the Inn valley fast and unpredictably. Landing is on a meadow east of the main road between Nussdorf and Erl, level with the sports facility where parking is available, marked by a large windsock — expect strong valley winds that typically run south in the morning and switch to north by afternoon.
