Leuchtenburg is a club-only paragliding site in Germany's Saale valley, launching from 390 m with the hill facing southwest — and it's worth being upfront about access: this site is restricted to club members, with no guest flying permitted under any circumstance. Even for members, the site comes with real limits, because the launch area sits inside the 'Mittleres Saaletal' landscape protection area: trampling damage to the ground has to be avoided, and no more than five pilots may use the launch and landing areas on any single flying day. Organized flying events aren't allowed here at all, which keeps the site's footprint small and consistent with its protected-landscape status rather than turning it into a competition or gathering venue. Wind from the southwest is what the launch is set up for. The dedicated Leuchtenburg landing field completes a tightly managed, low-impact site built around conservation limits rather than open access.
