Limbach Scheinde

Limbach Scheinde is a combined hang- and winch-tow site west of the Rhine, flexible enough to work in wind from almost any direction — northeast through south and west to northwest. The sloped terrain here shapes the rules: it limits how well the site suits hang-glider tow launches, and any student training here first needs solid prior landing experience elsewhere, plus a proper landing briefing before towing paraglider students up. Setting up or running the winches can't involve cutting or clearing any vegetation — the trees and shrubs around the site stay untouched. A Natura 2000/FFH conservation area sits within the flying zone and is strictly off-limits to overflight, marked on the permit's attached map. Parking is limited to existing roads and lots, including the one by the cemetery in Limbach — never park out in the open fields.
