Where it is
Naunheim OSO is a small, restricted-access launch in Hesse at about 215 m, flown in an east or southeast wind, with its own landing field nearby. This is not a drop-in site: flying is only possible together with a briefed local club member, after contacting the club in advance, because of a locked barrier on the access path and requirements set by the landholder. Access is also seasonal, permitted only from 1 October through the end of February, to protect nesting birds and grazing horses the rest of the year. Pilots drive their gear to the flying area itself, then park in a separate designated parking area about 400 m away. A path barrier has to stay closed except when actually passing through, and if a horse-paddock fence is in the way, it's lowered before flying and put back up afterward. Only paragliding is allowed here — no tandem flights and no hang gliders.
