Saubühl

Saubühl is a German winch and flatland paragliding site at about 455 m, with a northeast-to-east wind window. It's part of a wider cluster of towing sites in the Hohenlohe region, where flying happens regularly nearly all year, mainly on Sundays — and at these towing fields specifically, hang gliders make up most of the traffic rather than paragliders. There's a hard rule tied to the towing operation itself: it may only run on Sundays and public holidays, so this isn't a site to plan a weekday tow session around. Outside those days, expect the winch to be idle even if the wind looks perfect. For pilots working currency or basic airtime through repeated tow flights, that Sunday/holiday-only schedule is the main thing to build a visit around.
