Rißbach

Rißbach is a flat-land tow site in Germany's Hohenlohe region, one of several local sites where flying happens regularly nearly all year, with Sundays being the busiest day for both hang glider and paraglider pilots. Most towing traffic here leans toward hang gliders rather than paragliders, so paraglider pilots showing up should expect to share the pattern with a majority of hang-glider tows rather than assume the sky is set up primarily for them. Tow operations are coordinated among local pilots through a messaging group rather than a fixed public schedule, so knowing when the winch is actually running takes a bit of local plugging-in before a first visit. The one hard airspace constraint at Rißbach comes from controlled airspace to the east: the Niederstetten control zone sits close enough that pilots need to plan around it, along with a mandatory radio reporting point nearby. Wind from the southwest or west suits the field's usable tow directions.
