Elpersheim Süd

Elpersheim Süd is a south-facing launch at 292 m in Germany's Taubertal, and flying here is only coordinated through the local flying club. Launches only happen with a headwind above 15 km/h, which is what lets pilots reach the landing field safely on ridge lift. A minimum 50 m vertical and horizontal distance has to be kept from the nearby road and railway line. This is a members' site for experienced flying rather than instruction — training and tandem flights aren't permitted here at all. Pilots are also asked to avoid trampling the surrounding grassland.
