Krautheim

Krautheim is a southeast-facing launch in Baden-Württemberg where the timing depends on more than the weather: the launch area is grazed by a shepherd's flock at points through the year, and no flying is possible during those grazing periods — check locally before you go, since the schedule isn't fixed. The site is reachable on foot only; no vehicles are allowed up to launch, and any shuttle service needs prior coordination with the town of Krautheim, which owns the access paths. Launching itself needs a genuine headwind component of at least 10 km/h to be permitted. In the air, the L1025 road below has to be crossed with at least 50 meters of clearance both horizontally and vertically, and the power line at the base of the hill needs a proper safety margin as well.
