Schleppgelände Mindersdorf is a winch-tow flatland site about 7 km north-east of Stockach in Germany, best known locally for its unusually long tow line, which often means pilots release from real height. The setting north of Lake Constance is scenic, and the site is thermically interesting in its own right: from here, cross-country flights are possible west toward the Black Forest, north toward the Swabian Jura, and east toward Memmingen or Ulm, while flights south are cut off by Lake Constance and Swiss airspace. Tow operations run often but not on a fixed schedule — they're organised spontaneously whenever the weather is good, including on weekdays — so visiting guest pilots are welcome but need to register beforehand to find out if and when towing will happen that day. The area includes a bird protection zone, so pilots should be mindful of that when flying here.
