Wingertsberg / Bockenau

Wingertsberg/Bockenau, above the Nahe valley, is a south/southwest-facing site with a clear entry rule: guest pilots need a full, unrestricted paragliding license, and every pilot — member or guest — gets a mandatory terrain briefing before their first flight, covering the landing field's power line, obstacles, trees and correct approach direction. Launches only go ahead in wind under 15 km/h; once it builds past that, flying stops for the day. The site sits close to nesting bird habitat, so pilots are asked to fly as high above the terrain as practical and to be especially careful not to disturb wildlife during the breeding season, from April through June. A straightforward, well-briefed site once you've cleared the entry requirements.
