Koralpe Startplatz 1 is one of several higher-altitude launches on the Koralpe in Austria's Lavanttal, sitting at 1,825 m within the ski area above the lower Goding start. Takeoffs here work in southwest and west wind, and from this height getting established in thermals is usually straightforward. Landing happens either at the newer field in Eitweg or at the Wolfsberg landing field — a large meadow opposite the football stadium in Wolfsberg-Gries. In summer, pilots can reach the launch by the club bus rather than driving up themselves.
