Where it is

Am Lüsebrinke is a pure practice slope in Germany with about 60 meters of height difference and a single, west-facing orientation — well suited to short training flights and ground-handling work before pilots move on to bigger sites. Flying here is only allowed after coordination with the site holder. The slope sits in protected countryside: the grassland and hedges must not be damaged by flying activity, farm access tracks have to stay clear for agricultural and forestry traffic, and any ground modification needs approval from the local nature-conservation authority. The beech-wood biotope roughly 200 meters southeast of the slope is strictly off-limits, hang-gliding training is not permitted here at all, and pilots must keep at least 50 meters from the road running along the south side of the site.

Check conditions before you fly

A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Am Lüsebrinke, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Am Lüsebrinke with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.
