Feldberg – Wiesenquelle Startplatz

Feldberg – Wiesenquelle Startplatz is a paragliding launch in Germany at 1,250 m, flyable on west wind, with landings at the separate Feldberg-Fahl field. It's one of two closely managed launches on this hill (the other being the nearby 'Skischanze' area), and the Wiesenquelle site carries its own hard wind limit: no launching once the wind passes 10 km/h. The surrounding forest corridors mean gusty or turbulent conditions rule out flying altogether, whatever the wind speed. Access with flying gear is only allowed directly off the marked path, to protect the vegetation, and pilots need to avoid creating trampled tracks across it. First-time pilots must be briefed by the site holder and walk the landing field before their first flight — trees around the landing area carry their own turbulence risk, which the site holder will point out. The B 317 road runs past the landing field and has to be crossed at least 50 m above the ground.
