Korbach Klusenberg

Korbach Klusenberg is a northeast-facing launch at about 460 m near Korbach, Hesse, used mainly as a winter site by the local club — flying here is only allowed between 1 September and 15 March each year. That window exists specifically to protect breeding birds: the area is a documented habitat for red-backed shrike and great grey shrike, and flying outside the permitted months would disturb their nesting season. The site sits close to Korbach airfield, so before flying you have to make contact with the airfield tower — by radio on 119.975, Korbach Info — and follow its instructions; paragliders may not enter the airfield's traffic-pattern area at all.
