Nonroder Höhe Schlepp is a training slope with a 44 m height difference, flying on west winds from around 307 m, and use of the site is only permitted after checking in with the site operator beforehand. Training flights only go ahead in weather genuinely suited to student pilots. Vehicles park only at the designated Nonroder Höhe hikers' car park or on the areas of a nearby farm — driving up to the launch itself isn't allowed, though hang-glider pilots get a one-time exception to drive up, unload their gear at the landing site, and return the car straight back to the car park. No changes to the landscape are permitted anywhere on site, and the meadow areas can only be used after mowing, and only in coordination with the landowner. A set of flying-day and pilot-number limits from the site's nature-conservation paperwork applies, flight operations must be registered with the owner, and if more than one school or group is present on the same day they coordinate directly with each other — including for groundhandling and ground-running practice on the slope. Winch-tow launches run only toward the west, with a maximum release height of 150 m above ground.
