Tauchersreuth

Tauchersreuth is a training slope in Germany used for basic hang-gliding and paragliding instruction, sitting at around 433 m and flying in north wind. Access here is tightly restricted right now, and it's worth understanding why before you plan a visit: ongoing problems with local residents — caused by the parking situation and several outlandings away from the intended landing area — mean guest flying is currently allowed only in coordination with the flying school, not as an independent visit. This isn't a permanent design feature of the site so much as a response to real friction with the community around it, so treat any visit as conditional on getting that coordination arranged first. As a basic-training slope, the terrain itself is built for pilots early in their training rather than for advanced flying. The landing is at Tauchersreuth Landeplatz. If you're not flying through the school, don't assume you can simply show up and launch — check first.
