Where it is
Winzingen is a small training slope at 510 m in Germany, south-facing, used only in coordination with the local flight school — this is a practice hill for students rather than a site for independent flying. Flying also needs the agreement of the landowners or tenants of the meadows the site sits on. Access to both launch and landing is on foot only; vehicles may not park on the meadow areas. Public paths through the area can't be closed for flying, so pilots need to stay considerate of other path users passing through. The neighboring habitat is specially protected, and anything that could damage or significantly disturb it is off-limits.

Check conditions before you fly
A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Winzingen, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Winzingen with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.
