About OutDare

OutDare is a free paragliding app for iPhone, Android, Apple Watch and the web. It is made by Thomas Agaraté, a paraglider pilot based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Why it exists

It started with a frustration every pilot knows: four tabs open, wind from one, webcams from another, and never quite sure if it was on. Thomas built OutDare to put the whole pre-flight decision in one place, then kept building until it flew with him. The flight recorder, the 3D replays, the live link for family and the automatic SOS came after.

What OutDare does

  • A worldwide map of 13,900+ launches and 6,900+ landings in 135 countries and territories, stored in the app so it works offline.
  • A flyable-or-not verdict for every site, tuned to your own wind limits and wing, and a push the moment a saved site turns on.
  • 7-day forecasts from high-resolution regional weather models.
  • A flight recorder with an audio vario, 3D replay and XC scoring.
  • A live link your family can open in any browser, and an automatic SOS to your emergency contacts after a hard landing.

OutDare is free: no ads, no subscription, and no account needed to check conditions or set an alert. The app and this site are in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese.
