Delete your OutDare account
You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us.
Last updated: 31 July 2026
com.outdare.app on Google Play and app.outdare.ios on the App Store, previously published under the name Slick (com.agarate.slick). Website: outdare.app. Contact: contact@outdare.app.1. Delete your account from the app
This is the fastest route and needs no reply from us — the deletion is requested by you, from your own signed-in account.
- Open OutDare and sign in, if you are not already.
- Open the You tab and tap your name to open your profile.
- Tap the pencil (edit) icon at the top right.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your data is removed straight away and you are signed out.
2. Delete your account by email
If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your device, or cannot sign in, email contact@outdare.app from the address tied to your OutDare account, with the subject “Account deletion request”.
We reply within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We only ask for what is needed to confirm the request comes from the account holder — never a password.
3. What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the data attached to it:
- Your profile — display name, handle, avatar and pilot details (skill level, wind preferences, gear, weight).
- Your sign-in record — the email address and sign-in identity we hold for you. Deleting from the app removes everything below immediately; the sign-in record itself is erased within 30 days.
- Your flights — recorded tracks uploaded to our servers, flight photos, and any live-tracking records.
- Your social data — friends and friend requests, messages you sent, group memberships, kudos and comments.
- Your saved settings — favourite spots, flyability alerts, notification preferences and device push tokens.
- Your reports and reviews — spot photos, star ratings, conditions reports and presence history.
Flights stored only on your phone are deleted when you uninstall the app; they never reach our servers unless you choose to upload them.
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Community spot corrections — edits you proposed to shared flying sites (name, position, wind directions, site notes) stay in the shared database, but are unlinked from you. They belong to the community map that other pilots depend on, and removing them would degrade safety information for everyone.
- Anonymised analytics — usage events that carry no identifier tying them back to you. They cannot be traced to your account after deletion.
- Records we are legally required to keep — kept only as long as the law requires, then deleted.
Everything else is deleted within 30 days of your request, including from our routine backups as they roll over.
5. Other options
If you would rather not delete everything, you can instead: turn off all notifications in Settings → Notifications, set your profile and flights to private, or ask us for a copy of your data. See the Privacy Policy for your full rights, or the Support page for anything else.
