Diedamskopf

Diedamskopf is a soaring and cross-country mountain in the Bregenzerwald, at about 2,046 m, reached by gondola from Schoppernau and flyable across a wide range of directions from east through south to northwest, depending on which of its three launches you use. Paraglider pilots generally launch toward south to southeast (or east) from the area above the gondola station near the antenna, while hang gliders use a separate ramp facing west-northwest from the same spot; there's also an east-side launch below the gondola station facing south, marked with a windsock, and a third option below the middle station. Foehn wind is flagged as a real hazard here. One detail that changes with the season: the landing zone itself differs depending on whether there's snow on the ground, so it's worth checking the current rules before you fly rather than assuming last visit's landing field still applies.
