Where it is

Arosa–Hoernli is a high launch above Arosa in canton Graubünden, Switzerland, at 2,480 m, working on east through south winds. You can reach it by the Hörnlibahn gondola from Arosa, or on foot from Innerarosa. Honestly, though: this launch sees very little traffic, because the terrain here doesn't offer the access to thermals or cross-country flying that the area's other sites do — most visiting pilots choose the nearby Weisshorn launch instead, and it's worth knowing that before you plan a day around Hoernli specifically. Swiss airspace in this region is genuinely complex, so get a full briefing on active airspace and danger areas before flying, whichever launch you end up on. If you do fly Hoernli, treat it as a scenic, lower-key option rather than the area's cross-country venue.

Launch & conditions

Works on east to south winds. Expect a quieter, more scenic flight here rather than serious thermal or XC potential — for that, most pilots head to Weisshorn instead.
