Hannig Alp

Hannig Alp, above Saas-Fee, launches from a broad, flat road just to the left of the cable car top station, at about 2,300 m facing east. It's an unusually convenient high-alpine start: the cable car does the climbing, so there's no hike-in required to reach a genuinely high launch. One quirk worth knowing — skis aren't allowed on this stretch of road in winter, but the flat surface itself is wide enough to lay out a wing and launch comfortably regardless of season. Between the cable-car access, the east-facing exposure and the ready-made launch surface, it's a low-effort way to get airborne at real altitude above the Saas valley.
