Salève – La Table d'Orientation launches at about 1,205 m facing north to northwest on the Salève ridge above Geneva, with solid thermal and soaring conditions. Parking is at the Buddhist temple nearby, and the takeoff itself is just a 50 m walk from there. It's also reachable via the Salève cable car, followed by roughly 15 minutes of walking with about 200 m of height gain to launch. Landing is down at Troinex, at the foot of the ridge, and on busy flying days a local paragliding club runs a shuttle back up to launch — worth checking current pricing locally rather than assuming a fixed rate. One firm limit matters more than anything else here: Geneva airport's TMA sits directly overhead, capping flying altitude at 1,700 m. That's controlled airspace next to a major international airport, not a soft suggestion, so plan the flight with that ceiling in mind from the start.
