Auf dem alten Felde

Auf dem alten Felde is a winch-launch flatland site in Germany at 300 m, flyable in southeast and northwest wind. Towing here only happens with clear visual contact between the winch operator and the launching pilot at all times. Any paths that cross the tow strip have to be closed off with suitable barriers whenever towing is underway, and pilots must keep at least 50 meters clear of the K13 road running along the north side of the strip. Use of the land is governed by an agreement with the town of Willebadessen and the Höxter district's landscape office in Borgentreich, so this is a site operating under a formal local permit rather than open land. The nearby Kalktriften nature reserve is strictly off-limits to overflight.
