Where it is

winchFlatland XC

Aying's east-facing tow strip sits at around 613 m, the counterpart to the site's west-facing line, used for northeast or east wind. It's the same shared-ground setup: towing only runs once the strip is clear of farm vehicles, cyclists or walkers, and pilots keep distance from any horses grazing the paddocks alongside the strip. A railway line runs close to the east side and needs a 50 m clearance in both directions. The municipality of Aying permits flying here for 20 days a year, tied to a specific access-path agreement, and a nearby model-aircraft field south of Peiß needs at least 300 m of overhead clearance when you fly over it. As with the west-facing line, park only in the village's public areas — the access track to the strip and the land around it are off-limits for parking.

Launch & conditions

Northeast to east-facing winch-tow launch at about 613 m — the counterpart of Aying's west-facing strip, used when the wind sits the other way; towing only runs when the strip is confirmed clear.

Getting there & local rules

Same rules as the west-facing strip: park only in the village's public areas, not on the access track, and flying is capped at 20 days a year under the municipality's permit.

Local rules & hazards

Keep at least 50 m clear of the railway line on the east side, and keep distance from any horses in the neighboring paddocks. A model-aircraft field south of Peiß needs a minimum 300 m overhead clearance.
