Like its neighbouring launches, this isn't a very easy site: the terrain is properly alpine and correctly reading the wind on site matters, even though the Breitenberg overall feels calmer than the tougher Tegelberg next door. From midday, expect the wind to swing north here too. Reaching the mountain means the Breitenberg cable car and a chairlift, and pilots only get carried up after showing a valid flight licence and proof of insurance — once flying, a minimum 50 m clearance from the cableway is mandatory throughout. In föhn conditions, a red flag goes up locally whenever the pressure difference passes 4 hPa, a clear local signal to think hard about not flying that day.
