Euerbach

Euerbach is a flatland winch-towing site in Germany at 250 m, launching on east or west wind. After launch, pilots have to climb to at least 400 m above the ground as quickly as possible and hold that height until landing — there's no lingering low over the tow line. The nearby Garstadt bird-protection area and its extension zone are off-limits to flying entirely. Operating days are capped at 30 per year, with no more than 6 pilot launches allowed on any single flying day, and towing has to stop during the breeding season if protected species such as Montagu's harrier, marsh harrier or red kite are found near the launch areas. Before flying, the site's responsible airfield authority has to be notified in advance, and pilots should also check current NOTAMs. Paths that cross the tow line need to be properly secured while towing is underway, and the fields next to it have to stay clear enough for a safe landing.
