Großer Kopf / Römerturm

Großer Kopf / Römerturm is a members-only German paragliding site at about 430 m, best flown on west to north-west wind — visiting pilots need a briefing on the terrain and the permit conditions from the site holder before flying. Basic pilot training is not allowed here at all, and any training-level altitude flights are restricted to weather suitable for beginners. Launch sits close to the Limesturmweg hiking trail, so pilots need to watch for hikers and other walkers and must not launch if anyone nearby could be put at risk. A high-voltage power line runs near the site, and pilots are required to keep at least 50 m of safety distance from it. There's no vehicle access to launch — it's reached on foot only — and cars must be parked at the designated area by the grill hut. Pilots are also asked to take their rubbish away with them.
