Henneberg is a scenic northwest-facing site sitting directly on the former border strip between Thuringia and Bavaria, with parking close to launch right where that old border line used to run. One important detail before flying: there's no visual line of sight from the takeoff to the landing field, so pilots need to know the pattern in advance rather than plan on watching the landing during the descent.
