Where it is
Kapf/Paradies is a German paragliding site at about 997 m, with a wind window from southeast through south to southwest. It's set up as a training site: flight operations run only between 1 October and 30 April, by arrangement with a local flying school, which directs and supervises flying here rather than the site operating as a free-for-all launch. That structure makes it a solid, supervised option for pilots working toward or just past their licence, though it's not somewhere to expect to fly on your own outside the school's arranged sessions. Overflying nearby wildlife refuge areas should be avoided, a small habit that keeps the site's wildlife undisturbed. Landing is at the dedicated Kapf/Paradies Landeplatz.

Check conditions before you fly
A forecast for the valley is not a forecast for the launch. Before heading to Kapf/Paradies, read the wind and thermals for the site itself, confirm the day's rules with the local club, and remember the standing rule — when in doubt, don't launch. In the free OutDare app you can open Kapf/Paradies with a 7-day forecast built from high-resolution weather models, see who else has been flying, and get there with offline maps.
