Where it is
Neuwied–Rodenbach is a practice hill (Übungshang) in Germany near Neuwied, at just 170 m, working on south-east through south to south-west winds. As a training slope it's built for exactly what the name says: low-consequence, controlled first flights rather than big mountain terrain. The one hazard worth knowing before you fly is a high-voltage power line running along the north side of the launch, plus orchard meadows nearby — both need a proper safety margin, not a close pass. Parking is also enforced: leave the car at the sports field (Sportplatz) rather than trying to park closer to the hill itself. The Neuwied-Rodenbach landing field serves the site below. A straightforward local hill for building hours in a controlled setting.
Launch & conditions

Getting there & local rules

Local rules & hazards
Keep a safe distance from the orchard meadows and from the high-voltage power line that runs just north of the launch.
