Pürsten

Pürsten is a flatland winch-tow site in Saxony, flying in both east and west wind, set among a cluster of named nature reserves and Natura 2000 sites — Wyhraaue, the Frohburger Streitwald forest, and the Stöhna reserve among them. The site holder briefs every pilot, member or guest, before their first flight and hands out a map marking exactly where those protected zones are, since overflying them is either banned outright or only permitted at real altitude. Closer to the ground, there's a tree line bordering the field that needs a proper safety margin, and a power line at the eastern end of the site that demands the same, with wind conditions factored in. A nearby road (K 7930) needs 50 m of clearance in every direction — vertical and horizontal alike. A well-marked, low-altitude tow field for pilots who read the map first.
