Häsen NO is a flatland winch-tow site northeast of Berlin, facing northeast at a modest 62 m and built specifically for towing rather than hill launches. Flying here is deliberately limited: the site operates on no more than 10 flying days a year, with a cap of 15 pilots on any day it's open, and both the tow strip and the landing area sit on farmland rather than dedicated aviation ground. The surrounding countryside carries real conservation weight — a European bird protection area lies a few kilometers to the west, south and east, and during the spring and summer breeding season flights must avoid overflying the nests of sensitive large species like white stork and osprey.
