Uissigheim

Uissigheim is a well-regarded tow site on a plateau in Germany, with a 1,400 m tow line worked with a payout winch, and launches facing northeast, east or west. It's thermally active enough that lift starts up even in late winter, before most other sites in the area are flying. Vehicles park in the village rather than at the field itself. During towing, the path joining from the south near elevation point 335.8 has to be secured by suitable means for the duration of each tow. The site also sits 4.7 km from the Tauberbischofsheim gliding airfield, so its flight operations follow that airfield's own regulation, which forms part of the permit to fly here.
