Wolbrechtshausen

Wolbrechtshausen is a winch-launch flatland site in Germany at 160 m, flyable in east, southeast, west and northwest winds. Because it's a winch site, launch is built around ground infrastructure: marker posts and a concrete basin sit at the launch point, and pilots must keep clear of them during the tow. The trees and shrubs around the launch and landing area are protected and must not be disturbed by flying, and the same protection covers a registered natural monument, a lime tree known locally as "Linde im Flede nach Behrensen," in the northern part of the site. For winch releases above 450 m above ground, a reliable radio link between the towed pilot and the winch operator or launch director is required, so the tow can be aborted immediately if something like approaching air traffic shows up.
