Where it is
Abdalajis – la Capilla, above the town in Málaga province, Spain, is now closed to paragliding. The site sits inside Málaga airport's (LEMG) controlled airspace (CTR), and flying here without air traffic control permission is not allowed — the regional aerosports federation (FEADA) has asked pilots to respect this closure given the real risk of conflict with airline traffic on approach to Málaga, some of which can descend much lower than the published minimums when flying a visual approach. Before it closed, the site launched at around 726 m with wind from north through northwest, and locals warned that wind speed can jump by as much as 10 km/h just 20 m above launch — a saying passed around locally was that if you can hear the mountain 'sing,' conditions have likely turned too strong. There is no legal way to fly this site today; it stays documented here as a record of what it once was, not as an active launch.
